Guidelines

Participants are expected to follow the guidelines outlined below. All deadlines and requirements are strictly enforced.

Case Release and Onboarding

The competition officially begins on March 4, 2026 and will be conducted online.

Participants will attend an onboarding session with the Project Directors, which includes:
  • Introduction to MISA and IM Summit
  • Walkthrough of the competition flow
  • Grouping of individual sign-ups
  • Breakout sessions and Q&A segment

The official business case will be released online after the onboarding session.

Only registered participants will be granted access to the business case.

Case Briefing & Industry Engagement

On March 7, 2026, participants are required to go to Ateneo for an on-campus session.

This session includes:
  • A business case presentation
  • A Q&A session with professionals from CISCO
  • Introduction to the partner company, mentors, and judges

Sign-ups for the first round of consultations will be posted on this day.

1st Round of Consultations

Online consultations will be held on March 9, 10, and 11, 2026.

Participants may consult with their chosen mentor via online.

Consultation slots are first come, first served.

The availability and schedule of consultations are subject to the mentors' discretion.

First Screening: Initial Submission

The deadline for the initial submission is March 11, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

Each team must submit a high-level summary of their proposed solution, which must include:

  • Brief summary of the problem statement
  • Executive summary of the solution
    • Objectives
    • Functionality
    • Scope
    • Limitations
  • Business Model Canvas
    • Customer Segments
    • Value Proposition
    • Key Activities

Sign-up sheets for the next round of consultations will be released for qualified teams.

Second Screening: Final Submission

The final submission deadline is March 18, 2026 at 12:00 PM.

Each team must submit a high-level executive summary that includes:

  • Brief summary of the problem statement
  • Executive summary of the solution
  • Description of the solution including:
    • Objectives
    • How the solution works
    • Proposed features
      • What proposed features does your solution have?
      • How do you intend to address the specific problems and needs of the case partner?
      • What are the scope and limitations of your solution?
  • Business Model Canvas
    • Customer Segments
      • For whom are you creating value? Define the specific target market, users, or customers that will either pay, receive, or decide on the value proposition.
    • Value Proposition
      • Which of the customers’ problems are you helping to solve?
      • What do the customers need that your value proposition addresses?
      • What are the quantitative and qualitative benefits of your solution?
      • When do you think these benefits will be realized?
    • Key Activities
      • What uniquely strategic things does your solution have to deliver its proposition?
      • What does your solution have that delivers the value proposition?

2nd Round of Consultations (Top 10)

The second round of online consultations will be held on March 14, 16, and 17, 2026.

Only the Top 10 teams are eligible to participate.

Teams may further refine their proposed solutions with their chosen mentors.

Consultation schedules remain subject to mentor availability.

Final Defense & Deliberation

On March 21, 2026, the Top 5 teams will return to campus to defend their final proposals.

Each team will be given:
  • 20 minutes to present
  • 20 minutes for Q&A and panel feedback

After all presentations, the panel will deliberate and determine:
  • The Top 3 teams
  • The IM Summit Champion
